So you're an Asterisk administrator, or a small business owner, maybe just a bit of a geek, or some combination of all three, and you want an easy and intuitive way to manage your servers on the go - well, you found it.
Pocket Operator™ is incredibly useful, lightning fast, and fun. It doesn't require any plugins and connects directly to your servers either over the Internet or through your VPN, using the Asterisk Manager Interface.
It works with any version of Asterisk asterisk 1.4 and above, which also includes popular PBX systems such as FreePBX and trixbox.

Support
You need to enable the Asterisk Manager Interface on your server, just edit your /etc/asterisk/manager.conf file to look something like this:
[general]
enabled=yes
port=5038
[foo]
secret=bar
read=system,call,command
write=system,call,command
Save and restart your Asterisk server, done.
Your Asterisk server is behind a firewall? Just forward whatever port you defined in /etc/asterisk/manager.conf, works great.
